A leaking flue or a chimney fire doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we.
From routine sweeping to full masonry rebuilds, we cover every part of the chimney system — inside and out.

Tell us what's going on. Emergency calls are triaged first and dispatched the same day.
A technician examines the flue, liner, and exterior stack, and photographs anything of concern.
No work begins until you've approved the price and scope in writing.
Drop cloths and vacuum containment keep soot out of the house — we leave it cleaner than we found it.
A few notes from recent service calls across the city.
"They found a cracked liner our last inspector missed and showed us the video. Repair was done in a day."
"Called at 11pm about a smell of smoke and someone was here within the hour. Calm, thorough, no upsell."
"Tuckpointing on our 1940s fireplace looks better than the original brickwork. Fair price, clean job site."
A Level 1 inspection tells you exactly where you stand — often the same day you call.
ClearPath Chimney started with a simple frustration: too many Houston homeowners were getting rushed sweeps, vague quotes, and repairs that didn't hold up through a single hurricane season. We built a company around the opposite approach — slow down, document everything, and only recommend work that actually needs doing.
Four commitments that shape every job, from a $150 sweep to a full rebuild.
Every inspection includes photos or video of what we found. If we recommend a repair, you'll see why before you approve it.
Diagnosis and pricing come first, always in writing. Scope changes require your sign-off, not a surprise on the invoice.
Humidity, heat cycling, and storm season punish masonry differently here than up north — our materials and methods account for that.
Drop cloths, vacuum containment, and a walkthrough at the end of every job, sweep or rebuild alike.
Certified, background-checked, and trained to explain what they're doing in plain language.

Based on Bomar St in Montrose, serving homes throughout greater Houston.
We regularly service Montrose, the Heights, River Oaks, West University, Bellaire, Midtown, Rice Village, Garden Oaks, and surrounding neighborhoods inside the Loop, along with wider coverage across Harris County for larger masonry and rebuild projects. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and we'll tell you straight — we don't take jobs we can't service properly.
Below is what each service actually involves — what we check, what we bring, and when you'd need it. If something's not listed, call us; chances are we still handle it.
Creosote buildup is the leading cause of residential chimney fires, and Houston's humidity accelerates how quickly it accumulates in a flue that sees regular use. Our sweeping service uses rotary brush systems sized to your flue, paired with HEPA-filtered vacuum containment, so debris comes out through the vacuum hose instead of settling on your hearth or furniture.
We recommend a sweep at least once a year for wood-burning fireplaces and stoves, and every one to two years for gas appliances, depending on usage. Each sweep includes a visual check of the smoke chamber, damper, and firebox, so minor issues get flagged before they become repairs.
We follow the three inspection levels defined by NFPA 211. A Level 1 inspection covers the readily accessible parts of the chimney and is right for a chimney in regular use with no known issues. A Level 2 inspection adds a video scan of the flue interior and is required after a chimney fire, an appliance change, a home sale, or any time storm damage is suspected. A Level 3 inspection goes further, opening up walls or masonry when a Level 2 scan reveals a hidden hazard that can't be assessed otherwise.
Every inspection ends with a written report and photo or video evidence, so you have documentation for insurance, for a home sale, or simply for your own records.
Cracked flue liners, spalling brick, and damaged crowns are common in Houston chimneys exposed to repeated heat cycling and heavy rain. We repair what can be repaired — liner relining, crown patching, damper replacement — and rebuild what can't, working from the same brick coursing and mortar profile as the original structure wherever possible.
Every repair job starts with the inspection findings so you can see exactly what's driving the recommendation, and every quote separates labor from materials so you know what you're paying for.
Mortar joints wear out long before the brick around them does, and once water gets behind failing mortar, freeze-thaw cycles and heat expansion do the rest of the damage. Tuckpointing removes the deteriorated mortar and repacks the joints, restoring both the seal and the structural bond between courses.
For older homes in neighborhoods like Montrose and the Heights, we color-match mortar and, where needed, source reclaimed or custom-fired brick to keep repairs visually consistent with the original facade.
A missing or damaged cap is one of the most common reasons water, birds, and rodents end up inside a flue. We install custom stainless steel caps sized to your flue, along with spark arrestor mesh where local code or insurance requires it, and we pour or repair crowns using a slight slope and drip edge that actually sheds water instead of pooling it.
Lint-clogged dryer vents are a leading cause of house fires and one of the easiest problems to prevent. We clean the full run from the dryer to the exterior vent cap, not just the accessible section, and use a camera to confirm the line is clear before we finish the job. Slow-drying loads, a hot laundry room, or a burning smell during cycles are all signs it's time for a cleaning.
Answers we give most often on the phone.
Once a year for wood-burning fireplaces and stoves used regularly through the season. If you burn less than a few times a year, every other year is often enough — an inspection will confirm which schedule fits your usage.
Yes. Gas appliances don't produce creosote the way wood fires do, but soot, animal nests, and venting issues still occur. We recommend an inspection every one to two years for gas systems.
Pricing depends on flue count and accessibility — we quote it on the call. Level 2 inspections are typically required after a chimney fire, before a home sale, or after changing the type of appliance connected to the flue.
In most cases, yes. We source reclaimed and custom-fired brick and color-match mortar so repairs blend with the surrounding masonry rather than standing out as a visible patch.
